About me

Robin Grais-Speizman received a Master of Science in Educatoin (MSEd) in Educational Psychology from National Louis University in June of 1994. She holds dual Bachelor's Degrees, in Rehabilitation Psychology and in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin, Madison (1989) along with a Type 10 Certification in Special Education.  

Robin began her career teacher special education at Saint Joseph's Carondelet Child Center in Chicago. She later joined the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (now the  Shirley Ryan Ability Lab) where she served for 11 years as a Pediatric Behavioral Specialist and Senior Neuropsychometrician. There she conducted neuropsychological evaluations to both inpatients and outpatients suffering from brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Often providing cognitive retraining and school reentry services to children and teens upon inpatient discharge and often continued for long-term follow-up care.

From 1999 -June 2023, Robin worked as a neuropsychometrician, executive function coach, and clinical intake coordinator in the practice Roger Stefani and Associates, Chicago NeuroBehavior Specialists and now Stefani Neuropsychology Services. She continues to school observations, and executive function coaching to patients with ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, OCD, learning and educational struggles and other neurodivergent diagnoses to patients ages 6-24.  Although Robin has been providing execuctive function coaching fir many years , in January of 2019, she established her own executive coaching and consultation practice named Refocus.  In June of 2023, she became the Director of Clinical Outreach for the OCD & Anxiety Center in Oakbrook, Illinois which is the new loaction of her primary office. Robin also does virtual appointments, school visits, and, when needed, home appointments.
